Emotional wounds differ from person to person, but most of the time they are related to a lack of love, absence of confidence in life, the inability to meet our basic needs or fear of failing and so on.
We are in fact like small arctichokes, as we have so many wounded leaves at once, we feel that we might never heal completely. No matter how many wounds we heal, there are always others still to be healed.
Even though it seems complicated, the work of healing is vital. It allows us to reconnect with ourselves and open ourselves up to uncondiotional love. And that is how we can spread our little wings.
We all have wings, but unfortunately most of the time they are tied. To the point where we often don’t notice that we have them.
It is easier to stay in the role of a wounded bird, than to start to heal and spread our wings, little by little.
“A course in miracles” reminds us that “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that our power is unlimited. It is our light, not the darkness, that most scares us. We ask ourselves Who am I to think I am brilliant, beautiful, talented and fabulous? When in reality,  “Why can’t that be you?”. You’re a child of the universe. Yet playing at being a child, does not serve the world”.
So heal your wounds, spread your wings and serve the world.
